Hi! My name is Kelly Ables. I am a special education reading specialist.  I graduated from Mississippi State University in December of 2005 with a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education.  I just received my Master’s Degree in reading from Belhaven University. I have been teaching for 16 ½ years.  I worked at Kosciusko High School teaching Occupational Diploma from January 2006 until 2017. 

In August of 2017, I moved to Kosciusko Upper Elementary to work as a Reading Interventionist. Reading enhances the imagination. I can also be informative and entertaining. Providing students with a variety of books to read is so important. Reading develops the mind and helps children to explore new things. I have a love of reading and want to pass that love to my students and help their reading grow.  

I have been married to a wonderful man for 33 years.  I have been blessed with two children, a daughter and a son.  My daughter is married and has given me 2 beautiful grandchildren. My son is currently engaged to a lovely girl.
