Parent/Family Engagement

KMEFamily

Parent and Family Engagement is an essential part of federal and state educational guidelines, designed to strengthen partnerships between schools and families. These initiatives aim to enhance student achievement by providing opportunities for parents to participate in school decisions, hosting workshops to support learning at home, and maintaining regular communication through newsletters, conferences, and updates. Schools also develop school-parent compacts to outline shared responsibilities, offer resources to address families’ educational and emotional needs, translate materials for non-English-speaking families, facilitate parent advisory councils for family input, and partner with community organizations to provide additional support.
