Hello all! I am Susan McAdams aka Dr. Mac. The 2021-2022 school year will be my 25th year in education. Eighteen of those years have been spent as a 3rd grade teacher which is my current position. I am young in mind and spirit and have the same passion for preparing children for a successful future as I did when I began my career. I have challenged myself by furthering my education to fulfill the commitment and honor I feel in teaching our future leaders. I am an avid reader and love sharing the magic of books with my students. I also adore seeing a student express themselves in their writings. I live for the AHA moments where I know a difference has been made and love reconnecting with former students.

I married my high school sweetheart, Bobby, and we recently celebrated year 40. We have 4 amazing sons who continue to awe me with their abilities and ideas. At this point, we are still waiting for grandchildren, but do have 2 grand-dogs. We relish traveling, spending time at the lake, and enjoying family. I am a bit of a shopaholic and love to ride carousels.

My goal as an educator is to be a positive influence in the lives of my students and foster a atmosphere conducive to learning and community. Bring on the new year!!
