Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Misty Moore

Hi! My name is Misty Moore, and I am happy to be working as your child’s speech-language pathologist (SLP) this year.  This will be my 4th year as SLP at Upper Elementary and my 22nd year as a SLP serving children pre-K through 8th grade.  Many of my students will continue with me this year, but I also look forward to getting to know the new faces in my therapy room.

In my speech room, we work hard to accomplish our speech and language goals, but I also try to keep things as fun as possible.  I do occasionally send activities to work on at home because students who practice skills outside of school will make faster progress.

I have a bachelor’s degree from Mississippi University for Women and a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Southern Mississippi.

I grew up in Thomastown, Mississippi, and I still live there today with my family.  My husband is a teacher and coach at Kosciusko High School.  My oldest son Isaac is a 2019 graduate of Kosciusko High School, and he is a junior at Mississippi State University.  My son Preston and my daughter Ally both attend Kosciusko High School.  Preston is a junior, and Ally is a Freshman.

I am excited to work with your child this year and look forward to a great year!
