There was no doubt in my mind when I was growing up that I wanted to be a teacher. I loved "playing school" with the children that I would babysit. After graduating from Kosciusko High School, I entered Mississippi State University where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and began my Master's Degree also in Elementary Education. I moved to LaGrange, GA and began my career there in education teaching 2nd grade students for 11 years. While in GA, I finished my Master's Degree through MSU, married, and had 2 children. My family and I moved to Kosciusko where I began my employment with Kosciusko School District. I was an Assistant Teacher for 2 years at KME, 5th grade teacher for 5 years at KUE, and I am currently teaching 2nd & 3rd grade Quest students at KME. The 2021-2022 school year marks my 29th year in education.
